Turkey Carbonara

Left overs are here and there are a million ways to use them.  Here is a fast, simple, easy, great tasting recipe I want to share with you.  Carbonara is an Italian dish that uses very simple ingredients.  Onions, garlic, peas, heavy cream, egg, pancetta and Parmasen cheese. A great combination of flavors.  Enjoy

Ingredients

Left over Turkey
11/2 Cups Heavy Cream
1/2 Yellow Onion (diced up)
4 Garlic Cloves (minced up)
1 Cup Frozen Peas
1/2 Cup Pancetta (diced up)
1 Cup Shreddad Parmessan Cheese
Salt and Pepper To Taste
1 Egg
2 TBL Butter
Any Type Of Pasta

Making The Sauce

  • First start your water for your pasta 
  • Grab a large sauté pan and add 2 TBL butter, allow it to melt
  • Dice up your onions and garlic and add it to your melted butter
  • Let the onions and garlic caramilze on medium heat for 5 minutes
  • Add your pancetta and peas, let this cook for another 3 minutes
  • Add your heavy cream and turkey and let it heat up for 3 minutes
  • Add your salt and pepper, stir well
  • Add your cheese and stir until cheese is melted
  • Allow this to thicken up
  • As your pasta is cooking, turn your carbonara down to low
  • Add your egg to the sauce and mix this well until completely incorporated
  • Drain your pasta and add it to your sauce
  • Mix these well together and serve immediately
