Banana Chocolate Cake (So moist and yummy)

I have been on this baking kick, I really don't know what has come over me.  I am making this cake for my parents whose birthdays happen to be a week apart.  I have put in bananas with this cake that my Mother has made my Father every birthday.  I have kicked it up some.  I hope they enjoy it, Felicia and I did.  We took a piece last night.  Anyways enjoy everyone.

Ingredients

2 Cups of Granulated Sugar
1 3/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
3/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp Salt
2 Large Eggs
1 Cup Mashed Ripe Bananas
1/2 Cup Oil
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Making The Amazing Cake

  • Turn your oven on to 350 degrees and have a rack place in the middle of the oven
  • Grab a 9x13 pan and grease it up with butter
  • Grab a large bowl and place your dry ingredients in there

  •  Mix well

  • Take your mixing bowl and add your wet ingredients and beat it on medium speed for 3 minutes
  • Slowly add your dry mixture and scrape sides to get a consitent mix
  • Place your wet ingredients in your 9x13 pan and bake in the oven for 40 minutes or until done in the middle
  • While that bakes lets make the frosting
Ingredients For Frosting

1/2 Cup Butter (Melted)
2/3 Cup Cocoa
3 Cups Powdered Sugar
1/3 Cup Milk
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Mixing The Frosting
  • First melt your butter
  • Place the butter in your mixing bowl and slowly add the cocoa
  • Add your milk and vanilla extract next
  • Now slowly add your powdered sugar

  •  Make sure you scrape the sides very well

  • And your frosting is done
  • Now we take a knife and see if or cake is done
  • When done take it our of the oven and allow it to cool
  • When cooled down add your frosting and now you have banana chocolate cake
  • And our cats like to hang out with me when I cook.  Love those two.

Enjoy and Happy Birthday Mom and Dad
