Best Damn Cinnamon Rolls (and I normally don't bake)

Today I got a craving, a craving for cinnamon rolls.  I don't bake, I can't stand it. But holy shit did I just make the best damn cinnamon rolls ever created.  Please, please, please make these for your family.  You will not be sorry.

Ok enough of my blabbing.  Here you go.

Ingredients

1 Package of Yeast
1/2 Cup warm water
1/3 Cup Melted Butter
1/2 Cup Scalded Milk
1 Egg
31/2-4 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 TSP Salt

Filling Ingredients

3/4 Cup Sugar
2TBL Sugar
1/2 Cup Butter

Icing Ingredients

1/4 TBL Butter
2 Cups Powerded Sugar
1 TSP Vanilla
3-4 TBL Hot Water

Making The Dough
  • First we need to get the water warm to 110 degrees
  • Place your yeast in that water and let it dissolve for 5 minutes
  • Get a large bowl and add your Scalded milk (this means that it has to be hotter then ever), add your sugar, egg and melted butter.  Mix well

  • Add 2 cups of flour and mix well
  • Now add your yeast with water mixture
  • Add your the rest of your flour and mix well, it will be a tiny bit sticky and that is good.
  • Place dough on a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes, this helps get the bubbles out
  • Shape into a ball and place back in the large bowl
  • Cover and place in a warm place for an 11/2 hours
  • While this is rising, make yourself that wonderful pumpkin latte I posted yesterday
While It Rises
  • Making the Cinnamon filling
  • Grab a medium bowl
  • Add your sugar and then cinnamon
Rolling The Dough Out
  • So it has risen, punch it down the middle
  • Place it back on a floured surface

  • Roll it out as thin as you would like
  • Add your melted butter all over that greatness
  • Add your cinnamon and sugar mixture
  • Hell I could just eat it like this
  • Roll this baby up, start with the small end first and roll towards the big
  • Grab a 9x15 pan and add a little melted butter to the bottom with some sugar, this helps it from sticking and adds an extra crisp to the dough
  • Allow this to rise in the pan for 45 minutes
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • When doubled in size place in oven and bake for 30 minutes
  • While this bakes we make the frosting
Making The Frosting
  • Grab a small bowl
  • Add your melted butter, vanilla and powerded sugar and whisk well
  • Add your TBL of water and there you go

  • Take the buns out of the oven and let them rest for a few minutes
  • Now add your sauce and eat them buns like they are going out of style

Again, these are the best things I have ever made.  Share with the family or eat them all to yourself.  Since it is just Felicia and I, I had to freeze half of them or we would of eating the whole damn pan.  Good luck everyone and if you have any questions, please let me know how I can help.  Enjoy
