Pasta Greatness

Pasta is just one of those dishes you can not live without.  There are so many things you can do with it.  I mean Cincinnati came up with Skyline over pasta.  Its amazing.  Here is a little sample of one of my favorite dishes I make when I am in a hurry and really don't feel like doing much and even Felicia can do it.  Actually, I really don't let her cook much, she's a great cook, I just don't really like anyone in my kitchen.  Unless there making dessert then we can be friends.

Enjoy this wonderful dish full of flavors.

Ingredients

1 LB Italian Sausage (From your local Butcher)
2 Cups Arugula
5 Cloves Garlic (Minced)
2 TBL Dried Basil
1 TSP Oregano
I Box of Pasta (Any works great)
1/2 Red Onion (Small Diced)
Olive Oil
1 TSP Red Pepper Flakes
Romano Cheese (As much as you want)
3 TBL Butter
2 TBL Fresh Parsley (Chopped)

Cooking The Magic
  • Grab a meduim stock pot and fill with water add a little salt to the water and turn it on high (this is for your pasta)
  • Now grab your onion and dice it into small bite size pieces
  • Chop up your garlic
  • Grab a saute pan, turn it on medium and allow it to heat up.  When heated up add your sausage like this
  • While the sausage is in the pan take a wooden spoon and chop up the sausage while it cooks (this helps with not have huge pieces)
  • After it is cooked add your onion and garlic like this
  • Allow this to cook for 5 minutes
  • Your water is probably boiling so add your pasta and allow it to cook to your doneness
  • When the pasta is down strain it and set it aside
  • Now back to the sausage
  • Add your spices and arugula
  • Allow the arugula to cook like this
  • Add your pasta
  • Now add your butter and allow it to coat the pasta
  • Add your salt and red pepper flakes
  • Allow this to cook for 2 more minutes
  • Turn heat off and add your cheese
  • This is what your face will look like before you eat it because of all the wonderful smells
  • Now plate it
  • And chow down on some good grub
This is a wonderful fast dish that takes about a half an hour to make.  You can add whatever you want to it.  It goes great with a glass of Malbec.  Have a great time.  Chow
